Food Writers and Memoirists Workshop: I will be facilitating a six day “Guided Writers Residency” at Relais de Camont near Agen in southwestern France. This is a workshop for self guided writers who want uninterrupted time to work on a new project or a work in progress. This is ideal for food writers and memoirists. We will meet for a two hour morning workshop each day, share prompts and writing. You will then be on your own to write in your space. There will be some outings to local markets, farms, etc, but this is not an organized tour with daily field trips. This six day workshop is about finding the time to focus on your writing with the support of morning sessions and a small group of writers in a stunning setting.
The group will meet May 7th to May 12th 2024. This is an exclusive, small group of 3, possibly 4 students. The price of $3500 includes: the daily two-hour workshop, a one-on-one meeting about your project and writing, private room and bath, breakfast, simple working lunch or picnic, casual family-style dinners and some wine. It does not include travel, transport to and from the train station (taxi pickup can be arranged). I will have a rented car that we can use for outings, dinner or lunch out, etc.
Please let me know ASAP if you are interested. It is a truly stunning place and should be a very special week.
